Chi Nei Tsang
Medical Abdominal Massage

You may be wondering--what exactly is Chi Nei Tsang (pronounced: Chee-nay-song)? It literally translates to mean: "working the energy of the internal organs" or "internal organs chi transformation."

Chi Nei Tsang is a holistic approach to the healing touch modality of old Taoist Chinese origin. It integrates the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being. CNT goes to the very origin of health problems, including psychosomatic responses.

Using many of the principles of Kung-Fu and Tai Chi Chuan known as Chi-Kung (or Qigong); therefore, CNT is a form of “applied Chi Kung (Qigong).”

A Chi Nei Tsang practitioner works directly with the abdominal organs to assess imbalances, release toxins and unprocessed emotional energy and restore well-being to the body. Chi Nei Tsang is a safe and effective means for releasing the energies in the internal organs as well as all of the body systems: digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, muscular-skeletal, and the Acupuncture meridian system.

Working with the Abdomen

In many traditions, the abdomen is regarded as a personal power center. The abdomen is where our bodies first received nourishment and eliminated toxins while we were in the womb and where energy continues to concentrate as adults.

In our daily lives, all of our emotional energies dwell in our abdominal organs. If we don’t take time to release these energies, they accumulate and manifest in our bodies as dis-ease.

When you lie down on the table to receive a Chi Nei Tsang session, you may actually be able to feel the shifts taking place in your body. All your systems, including muscular, skeletal, endocrine, respiratory and reproductive, respond to the treatment and come away altered. As you bring your breath to the areas being worked on, you participate in your own healing and strengthening of all these areas.

The organs in your abdomen influence your whole body. What occurs there shows up in your feet, spine, head and neck. A Chi Nei Tsang session gives your body an opportunity to release to stuck energy from the internal organs so that your entire being can function optimally.

Millions of people already have benefitted from these techniques in the East. Open-minded Westerners can now enjoy the profound effects of Chi Nei Tsang for themselves.

Benefits of Chi Nei Tsang

Detoxification

A Chi Nei Tsang session stimulates the lymphatic and circulatory systems, helping your body to rid itself of toxins and impurities. It also stimulates the immune system, boosting your resistance to disease. A Chi Nei Tsang session is an excellent complement to other health or medical care you may be receiving. Clients who receive Chi Nei Tsang before and after surgery may experience easier recoveries.

Clearing Emotional Blockages

In addition to relieving physical symptoms, when we release emotions, we feel a sense of lightness and dynamic flow throughout our bodies. We enjoy greater mental clarity, and feel more ease in moving toward being the person we want to be.

By clearing compacted energy, Chi Nei Tsang delivers new perspectives and attitudes that can lead your life in new directions. Chi Nei Tsang is a wonderful complement to many forms of psychotherapy.

Realigning

Our modern lives expose our whole bodies to stress, particularly our internal organs. Chi Nei Tsang realigns our organs and prompts them to work more efficiently. It also helps with chronic pain, structural misalignment, and postural problems that show up in places such as the shoulders, neck, back, feet, legs and pelvis.

Self-knowledge

& Healing

Chi Nei Tsang teaches its practitioners to facilitate self-healing. A big part of this is offering clients simple yet powerful ways to heal themselves.

These practices work between sessions to help clients continue receiving the benefits of Chi Nei Tsang throughout their lives. Chi Nei Tsang also creates spaciousness in the body for new, more healing kinds of thoughts to arise.

Emotional Flow

Pain sometimes appears in the body because the mind cannot process it.

Each organ is responsible for managing different emotional energies. For example, worry and anxiety are managed by the stomach, spleen and pancreas. If you have been experiencing stomach pains, and know that you experience a lot of stress in your life, those pains may be your body’s request for healing.

Unprocessed emotional pain has been proven to cause disease. Chi Nei Tsang can help release it.

Lessening & Eliminating Symptoms

Chi Nei Tsang sessions may help relieve many physical symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, grief, digestive and bowel problems, discomfort from Crohn’s disease and other ailments.
